Mesopotamia

The life back then

Think back to the first moment in your life that you can remember and now think many, many centuries before that and you might just land in Mesopotamia. Around this time they had lots of different resources than we have now and traded different things and lastly they had wars unlike ours.

According to Mr. Donn mesopotamians typically ate and or drank; grains, fish, berries, milk, meat, vegetables, and melons they also drank beer it was the most common beverage other than water. Mesopotamians used their fertile land to grow crops and the rivers(Tigris and Euphrates) for irrigation. This was their main source of food other than livestock. Mesopatmians’ homes were made out of mud or sand bricks. Back then houses typically had 2 to 3 stories. It is common that they would sleep on the roofs on warmer summer days.

According to ancient world When Mesopotamians are traveling or taking resources to trade Mesopotamians traveled by: donkey, foot, boat, and caravan. They all traded amongst themselves and throughout the Mediterranean. They traded food, grains,  oils,  textiles,  and precious stones. Multiple things were imported some of them are food, cloth and wine along with vegetables, grains, cloth, stone, gold and copper.  The typical things that were exported were; textiles, cloth, wood, and grain.

According to Ducksters.com The landscape of Mesopotamia is effective in combat because the rivers help the warriors by making it hard to crossover. The mountains would help the warriors by being a good place to hide themselves. The desert would help the warriors because it's so vast that it would be easy for your enemies to become lost. All of Mesopotamia was typically fighting amongst themselves but most commonly the Assyrians they fought because each of them wanted power and or wealth along with land. First Babylon took over then the Assyrians anyone who fought Assyrians typically Lost. the Assyrians had a powerful army so they took over.

Remember, things are different from now like food and construction. Also trade and travel. Along with wars and war strategies and conflicts.
